Love to us means, before anything else, being best friends, and not being able to live without each other. Our love began with a shared enjoyment of art, music, and all things beautiful. We met each other in 2016 when we were students at University of Canterbury. Tieta was doing her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Julian was doing his Master’s Degree in History. We got to know each other by going to classical music concerts and enjoying Russian Literature together. As well as enjoying beautiful things, we also helped each other through many struggles. Julian proposed to Tieta in the Christchurch Botanical Gardens on 2 September 2017. We pray that Allah bless this union and give us many happy years ahead
